Working as part of the engineering team which is responsible for the development of JavaFX technology and Java SE Platform GUI class libraries.

Software developer for Java GUI toolkits portion of the Java FX and Java SE Platform and Web Component for JavaFX. This engineer will work as part of the engineering team which is responsible for the development of JavaFX technology and Java SE Platform GUI class libraries. The job requires an individual with a strong focus on quality and an emphasis on meeting customer/developer needs.

• Typical numbers of years of relevant experience: 2-4
• Minimum level of education: BS or equivalent
• Fields of study: Computer Science (CS)
• A solid understanding of Java and C++, experience in GUI programming, multi-threading.
• Additional specialized coursework in Object-Oriented Design, User Interface Design. Familiar with, or have worked on GUI projects in the past.
• The individual must be self-motivated and able to make continual progress with little supervision.
• Candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills and intermediate (or above) English language skills.

• Knowledge of WinAPI, COM interface, experience in HTML and Text Rendering,
• Knowledge of the Swing and AWT GUI toolkits is desirable, but not required.
• Programming experience with XToolkit or Cocoa toolkits are valuable.
• Ability to work with distributed teams.
